To combat the food shortage that came with Covid-19 lockdown and help its citizens, the Lagos State Government created the Lagos Covid-19 Food Relief. The scheme is meant to make donations to indigents especially in remote areas of the state.
The supplies weren’t getting to the right people however as many citizens don’t know of its existence and many who knew didn’t know how to access the supplies.
We sampled opinions on the most popular means of communications for Lagosians. Our findings shows that many people use facebook. We intensified the state government’s communications on Facebook and Instagram primarily to reach the scheme’s target audience.
Using Infographics, Videos, Images and Flyers, we were able to reach over 1 Million Lagosians access information about the Covid-19 Food relief.
